Sex according to Oum Mohammad

A sexologist like no other is causing a stir in the Arab world. She may wear a niqab but Oum Mohammad has no qualms about giving her views on fellatio (entirely normal) and sodomy (absolutely no way!). Listen to what she has to say...

On fellatio and other sexual pleasures

The talk show was broadcast on prime time television on April 21 by the Emirates TV channel al-Aan (Now). Widad al-Luta, aka "Oum Mohammed", was there to talk about her bestselling title "Very Private". As soon as the show went online, the channel's website found itself flooded with comments. Most of the people writing in however were simply asking where they could get hold of the book and if it were possible to have it sent electronically.

Oum Mohammad is no novice to sexology and nor to the workings of Islam. She's taught in a girls' school for eight years and also works as a marriage counsellor for a court in Dubai. It's worth noting that she's just about to release another book on relationship problems...

On the dangers of masturbation

“It was what she said about masturbation that really shocked me”

Valerie Cordonnier is a sex therapist from Paris. Along with other sexologists she runs the website "espace-psy".

I was blown away by the ideas of this sexologist. And to base a book on three generalisations seemed a bit over the top to me.

On fellatio and sodomy, well, I could have heard the same from some of my Jewish or Muslim patients. It was what she said about masturbation that really shocked me. I find it a shame, and truly deplorable, that she places her advice under the guise of religious guidelines. It's pure manipulation. Her message continues to put the woman in the position of inferiority, leaving her body under the man's control and forgetting any chance of reaching equality.

She's playing with dangerous disinformation. She takes women as imbeciles, for example by telling them that their breasts will sag if they masturbate. Masturbation is a personal choice and nobody should demonise it. Lack of freedom and choice does not go well with sexual development."

A Headscarf-Virgin Speaks Out

They wrap themselves into a headscarf, profess themselves to the orthodox faith and live in a French cultural environment. The problem this Black-Virgins seem to have is that they become acquainted with men in portable-phone-shops, go study, go to parties, talk about sex, family, occupation - and they are strictly religious... Those of them living in France feel associated to the French society and fight this society at the same time. In its radical opinions their disappointment mixes over distrust of the society they are living in with strict criticism and strictly religious conceptions. Like their Christian opponents, it will be become harder for them to handle the "constrains" of liberal views on political processes.

I don't know about the author but you my friend, for sure, do not understand Arabic. She was indeed talking about the (fictional) "dangers" of masturbation for women although she did mention in the first vid that some men do maturbate in front of their wives... So do not get confused by what you're watching ;-) In any case, this is really weird and I pity women listening to her sexual advice.
